Often people ask what a typical week looks like. Here is an hourly breakdown of how you would probably spend your time when working with students.
Student Venture Intern Weekly Expectations
15 hour Commitment
- Attend the weekly meeting (4 hours)
- Attend the weekly meeting (4 hours)
- Personal evangelism (2 hours)
- Small group discipleship or follow-up group (2 hours)
- Training meeting (2 hours)
- Planning and administration (2 hours)
- Phone time (2 hours)
- Relational time with kids outside of meetings (1 hour)
20 hour Commitment
Add on:
- 1 school event such as a football game, concert, play, pageant, etc. (3 hours)
- Help give leadership to the weekly meeting (2 hours)
30 hour Commitment
Add on:
- Additional target group outreach & follow up group (2 hours)
- One more personal evangelism slot (2 hours)
- (If the Campus Director) More planning and leadership for the weekly meeting and overall direction of the ministry, including shepherding and direction of the other workers at your campus (3 hours)
- (If not the Campus Director) An area or city project or responsibility (i.e. Raft trip program, area newsletter, etc.) (3 hours)
- Additional phone time (1 hour)
- Additional relational time with kids outside of meetings (1 hour)
- Recruiting of manpower (1 hour)
40 hour Commitment
Add on:
- Additional shepherding of other interns and volunteers (1 hour)
- Involvement with the CRT (1 hour)
